A COLORIFIC WORLD

Lately, we have blogged about Pantone, who recently selected Radiant Orchid as 2014 color of the year. Keeping with the Pantone theme, this week we want to share with you something else the color experts have been working on…

We were very intrigued by our recent discovery of the PANTONE HOTEL; a boutique hotel situated in historic Brussles. The collaboration between designer Michel Penneman and architect Olivier Hanneart, was insired by Pantone’s famous matching color system. The hotel boasts 59 rooms that are all cleverly colored and designed to match the mood of each guest. Whether you are staying at the PANTONE HOTEL for business, leisure or a romantic weekend away, each room has a unique combination of colors to suit the occasion.

We at Swift-Morris think that Pantone’s idea of color coordination is gold – no pun intended! Color and the effect that it has on your mood is often very underrated.  In fact, a simple coat of paint can transform not only an entire room, but also how you feel. Importantly, you don’t need to travel all the way to Brussels to see what effect color can have your everyday life. Like PANTONE HOTEL, we encourage you to see your world through a lens of color, so pull out your paintbrushes and let you senses inspire you!

What color room would you choose?
